A FOOD POLICY FOR CANADA
Join the conversation on Friday, September 15, 2017, at the Douro Community Centre (2893 Highway 28 & County Road 8) from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
A Food Policy for Canada will set a long-term vision for the health, environmental, social, and economic goals related to food, while identifying actions we can take in the short-term.
A food policy is a way to address issues related to the production, processing, distribution, and consumption of food. Peterborough-Kawartha has a strong tradition of agricultural excellence and we are very much looking forward to gathering your input.
I will be sharing your input with the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food.
I want to hear how food production, processing, distribution, and consumption affect you and your family.
In the meantime, you can learn more by reading the food policy consultation document and have your say!
This venue is wheelchair accessible. Please communicate additional accessibility needs with registration.
Not able to join us in person? We want to ensure all Canadians have their chance to give their input on A Food Policy for Canada, so please visit www.canada.ca/en/campaign/food-policy.html to have your say by August 31.

We look forward to seeing you on September 15 in Peterborough-Kawartha.
