Are you able to communicate in both French and English? If yes, I encourage you to apply to be a House of Commons Page for 2017-18!
House of Commons Pages are an integral part of the functioning of Canada’s Parliament, and I and my fellow Members of Parliament could not do our jobs without them. Not only do Pages have the opportunity to learn about the House of Commons while witnessing the legislative process first hand, they also gain real-world work experience in a paid position.
Qualified applicants must:
- be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- be graduating from secondary school and enrolling in full-time studies at a National Capital Region university in September 2017;
- have an overall academic average of at least 80%; and
- be able to communicate effectively in both English and French.
